Cockfosters is the best station because of the roundals on Cockfosters platforms however it would be even better if tfl make all eastbound Piccadilly line trains terminate at Cockfosters Station because you go to Cockfosters the end of the Piccadilly line on 1 train as you do not have to change at Arnos Grove and Oakwood off a terminating train during early mornings peak hours and evenings and wait for multiple of minutes for a Piccadilly line train to Cockfosters Station. Currently during early mornings peak hours and evenings some Piccadilly line trains terminate short at Arnos Grove and Oakwood rather than at Cockfosters Station as think of passengers get to Cockfosters Station like this is disgraceful. Both Arnos Grove and Oakwood are worst stations.at all times eastbound Piccadilly line trains should terminate at Cockfosters Station the end of the line.more capacity.Build new additional platforms 5 and 6 at Cockfosters Station so all Eastbound Piccadilly line trains can terminate at Cockfosters Station with more platforms increase number of trains turn around and go back to its western destinations:1.Heathrow Terminal 52.Heathrow Terminal 43.Uxbridge 4.Ealing Broadway
Staff are absolutely useless, no idea what train leaves first half the time which can be incredibly annoying if you're in a rush. Often have to jump between three trains before they decide which one actually leaves. Often late at night trains terminate at Oakwood so you're left waiting around for 10-20 minutes for a Cockfosters train. Also, 50p to use the toilet!
Contrary to popular belief, Cockfosters is the first station on the Piccadilly Line, not the last, Heathrow is the last. Cockfosters is probably the northernmost station on the TfL Underground Network; about 2 miles to M25 junction 24 via A111 (Cockfosters Road / Stag Hill). The station is very popular with people living in the commuting belts (Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire). For some reasons I don't understand the station is also popular with Arsenal supporters (you try and visit Cockfosters when there is Arsenal home match, you will see what I mean). Maybe is natural & why I live in Cockfosters too.The station is also renowned for its tranquil surroundings, the nearby Christchurch on Chalk Lane and of course Trent Country Park. The station staff are friendly and welcoming.
A beautiful, double-entranced example of classic Underground architecture. A little neglected and tatty but not hideously modernised and still atmospheric and busy. Really striking underpass corridor. Nice little coffee shop and some truly awful toilets. Not unmanned, but no actual ticket counter either.
Cockfosters, not a big fan of either to be honest. The station is okay but located a bit too far north for my liking. Strange smell at the entrance as well
