Contrary to what Huw Pryce writes, East Barnet Library does NOT have any self-service opening and there is no key pad to get in. It is staffed during all opening hours (by very friendly, welcoming staff.) I think Huw is confused about which library he's reviewing.
Horribly shafted by the council. Not open to unaccompanied youngsters when not staffed. Keypad admission. A complete travesty of the library I sat and studied in as a child. Shocking.
Amazing staff, large space and rich content
Nice little library, recently made much littler. We go here for bedtime stories and for the check in and out machines, although we prefer real people - even if library 'folk' are a little... er.... odd?
A nice quiet place to study or read.
